It's easier because the clutch and gears are done automatically, meaning you have less problems with moving off and stopping, navigating junctions, and roundabouts, but best of all you can forget about the fear of "stalling" the car.

There is no catch other than the fact that people who pass in an Automatic car cannot drive a manual car and are only licensed to drive an Automatic car until they pass a test in a manual..

The Good News ...

The good news is that Automatic cars are brilliant. Even experienced drivers prefer to drive this way and Lets face it millions of Americans can't be wrong. There must be something to this "No Gear stick" thing.

However the other good news is that there would be nothing stopping you learning to drive in a manual once you have passed and you could then take your manual test and have the best of both worlds.
